Dr. Patrick Y. Lu, the founder, President and CEO of Sirnaomics, Inc., has 25 years of biomedical research and 15 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience including tenures in Novartis and Digene. He was the co-founder and executive vice president of Intradigm Corporation (Rockville, MD), a leading RNAi therapeutics company (2001-2006). During his tenure in Intradigm, Patrick built a strong R&D team and created a significant IP portfolio and leveraged these strengths to raise investment funds totaling more than $22.5 million and establish partnerships with large pharma and biotech companies. Patrick’s leadership capability is also reflected through the founding of two influential Chinese American professional organizations, CBA and UCAPO, in which he has served as president. Patrick received his Ph.D. from Sun Yat-sen University in 1987 and completed his postdoctoral training in University of Maryland and Georgetown University Medical School in 1992.

Dr. David M. Evans, Co-founder, Vice President, Discovery Research. Dr. Evans has over 20 years experience in drug target and small molecule discovery for oncology and CNS therapeutics. He has successfully implemented and managed high throughput screening and small molecule drug discovery groups at several large biotech companies and is an expert in the use of genomic and proteomic approaches for target and biomarker identification. Dr. Evans has been a pioneer in target/drug discovery technologies including high throughput gene silencing using RNAi. Before joining Sirnaomics, Inc. David served as Sr. Director, RNAi Discovery and Therapeutic Services group, Thermo Fisher Scientific (TFS), Lafayette, CO; Head of Drug Discovery, Cancer Drug Development Lab Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGEN), Gaithersburg, MD; Director, Drug Discovery Psychiatric Genomics Inc., Gaithersburg, MD; and Head, High Throughput Screening for Serono Pharmaceuticals, Boston, MA. Prior to this David was with Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Cambridge, MA. Dr. Evans is the inventor on a number of issued and pending patents, and has been an invited speaker for many international professional conferences and webinars on siRNA screening and drug discovery. He received his BSc (1983) and PhD (1987) from Imperial College, London and has published a number of peer reviewed papers and review articles.

George J. Ji,
Co-founder and Vice President, Corporate Development of Sirnaomics.
Mr. George Ji previously served as Managing Director of a U.S. listed bio-pharmaceutical company,
China Biopharma, headquartered in New Jersey since 2005, overseeing corporate affairs and U.S. operations of this public company. Prior to this position, George was Director of Business Development at Quantum Communications, where he
led planning and development of new businesses and was
directly involved in service design and support for both U.S. and international markets. George also held several
management positions in other U.S. and international firms including GE. Mr.
Ji has a Fulbright M.A. in American Studies (1987) and holds an MBA degree from Webster University, St. Louis (1998).

Dr. Harry H. Yang, Co-founder and Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning & Asia Operations. Dr. Yang brings over 18 years of industrial experience in gene expression technologies gained in well known US companies including GeneLogic, Nanogen, Genometrix and Igen. Most recently, Dr. Yang was executive manager of Shanghai Biochip Ltd. (Shanghai, China) and co-founder and senior vice president of MetriGenix Inc. (Gaithersburg, MD). Dr. Yang received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin (1991).
