Sirnaomics, Inc. was established in early 2007 by a group of leading scientists and entrepreneurs in RNAi technology, with the mission to advance RNAi technology using our proprietary positions in high-throughput siRNA inhibitor identification, multi-targeted siRNA cocktail discovery and nanoparticle-enhanced siRNA delivery, for development of novel, gene-targeted therapeutics. The name of the company Sirnaomics (/ser-'now-miks/) is derived from the tech word "siRNA" with the suffix "-omics" to

signify the bridge between the study of the structure and function of small interfering RNA including their silencing properties and complex interplay with the targeted sequences inside cells. The company occupies 3,500 sq feet of lab and office space within the I-270 tech corridor in Maryland. Our labs are equipped with state of the art equipment for molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, synthetic chemistry and robotic screening.
Vision
Sirnaomics, Inc. is dedicated to becoming a leading company in the field of targeted RNAi therapeutics. Sirnaomics is positioning itself to address important market needs: the high demand for potent siRNA therapeutics, with multi-targeted design and nanoparticle-enhanced in vivo siRNA delivery. The company will achieve this goal through partnerships with large pharmaceutical and major biotech companies, and through government and venture capital financing. These mechanisms will allow acceleration in the development of the technology platforms and siRNA therapeutic products. Our focus is on high value creation with a strong siRNA therapeutic discovery and delivery platform and a pipeline of therapeutic products aimed at large markets.
